/07How Should I Take Care of My Wrap After Installation?
Proper aftercare is the key to a long-lasting wrap. For the first 7 days, don't wash the vehicle so the adhesive can fully bond, and avoid picking at or pressing on any edges. After that, wash it by hand regularly, remove contaminants right away, and protect it from the sun whenever possible.
We install premium films from 3M, Avery Dennison, and Oracal, and our installer is a 3M Preferred Graphics Installer and Avery Dennison Certified Wrap Installer. Following proper care keeps your wrap looking new and your warranty valid.

/08How Often Should I Wash My Wrapped Vehicle?
At least once a week, and more often for work vehicles or during winter road-salt season. Hand wash with a pH-neutral, wax-free car soap and a soft microfiber mitt, working from the top down. Rinse thoroughly and dry with a microfiber towel to prevent water spots. Avoid washing in direct, hot sunlight.
Bird droppings, bug splatter, tree sap, and fuel spills should be removed as soon as you notice them. Left on the surface, especially in the sun, they can bake in and permanently stain the film.
/09Can I Take My Wrapped Car Through a Car Wash?
Avoid brush and cloth car washes completely, since they can scratch the film and lift the edges. A touchless car wash is fine occasionally, but hand washing is always best.
If you use a pressure washer, keep it under 2,000 PSI, use a 40-degree wide nozzle, stay at least 12 inches away, and never spray directly at edges or seams.
/10Should I Wax My Vinyl Wrap?
Not with traditional wax. Use a spray sealant or detailer made specifically for vinyl wraps every few weeks. It adds UV protection, makes washing easier, and helps repel dirt. For the best long-term protection, consider a ceramic coating designed for wraps.
For matte or satin finishes, never use wax, polish, or anything containing carnauba. It leaves shiny patches that can't be fixed. Use only products labeled for matte or satin finishes.
/11What Products Should I Avoid On My Wrap?
Avoid paste wax, polishing or cutting compounds, abrasive cleaners, scrub pads, stiff brushes, and solvents like acetone or lacquer thinner. Never use ice scrapers or razor blades on wrapped surfaces. In winter, brush snow off gently with a soft brush and let ice melt with the defroster instead of scraping.
/12What Does the Warranty Cover?
Your wrap is covered by the film manufacturer's warranty for the material used, plus our 1-year installation warranty covering workmanship issues like lifting, peeling, or bubbling from the install.
The warranty does not cover damage from improper washing, harsh chemicals or wax, contaminants left on the surface, scratches, accidents, or neglect. If you notice any issue, contact us right away at (857) 246-4582 or ali@glxydsgn.com. Most install-related issues show up early and are easy to fix.
